Renting a studio in Orient Bay: Sophie's guide

Where exactly are the studios?

The two studios of the collection, Tropical Dreams and Caribbean Escape, are in the Mont Vernon residence in Orient Bay (postcode 97150), on the east coast of the French side of the island. The residence overlooks Orient Bay: the terraces face the ocean with nothing in front of them, and a private path leads straight down to the beach.

On site, a mini-market and a takeaway pizzeria save you from taking the car for everyday needs. On the beach, a few minutes' walk away, you will find restaurants, shops and watersports bases. Grand-Case, the island's restaurant village, is about fifteen minutes away by car.

What you will find in the studio

Tropical Dreams measures 48 m² and faces the ocean entirely. Both studios sleep up to 2 guests and are equipped the same way:

• fully equipped kitchen and living area with television (70 channels);
• air conditioning, king-size bed, walk-in wardrobe and safe;
• large shower room and washing machine;
• bed linen, towels and beach towels provided;
• private terrace with garden furniture, facing the sea;
• residence swimming pool and direct beach access.

Booking direct: how it works

The calendar and the nightly rate are shown on each studio's page; the price is calculated live for your dates and number of guests, then payment is made by card on a secure page. There is no intermediary commission. You can also write to me on WhatsApp: I answer personally, in French or English, within 24 hours.

The conditions, in plain words

• Minimum stay: 7 nights.
• Cleaning fee: €167 per stay. Tourist tax: 4% of the rental amount.
• 30% deposit at booking if you book more than one month before arrival; balance due one month before the arrival date.
• Long stays: −10% from 14 nights, −12% from 21 nights, −15% from 28 nights on the standard rate.
• Three cancellation options: Flexible (free cancellation up to 4 days before arrival, +15%), Standard (free cancellation up to 30 days before arrival) or Non-refundable (−10%).
• A security deposit is requested before check-in and returned within fifteen days after departure.

When to come to Saint-Martin?

Our rate tables distinguish two periods: high season from December to April, the driest and most sought-after, and low season from May to November, quieter and easier on the budget. The Atlantic hurricane season officially runs from 1 June to 30 November; the trade winds keep the island fresh all year round.
