How to refer a dispute
Mediation may only be initiated by the consumer — the professional cannot start it. Your referral is admissible only if:
- you first sent a written complaint to St Martin St Barth
Collection (

- the dispute is not already before another ombudsman or a court.
Referrals are filed online on the ombudsman's website or by post to the address above. Mediation is free of charge for the consumer. The ombudsman has ninety days from the notice of admissibility to conduct the mediation; this period may be extended for complex disputes, in which case the parties are informed.
The ombudsman's proposed solution binds the parties only if they accept it. You retain in all cases the right to bring proceedings before the competent courts.
